The Vamp Sign (arrow right)

$295.00

An incredible piece of 1970’s and 80’s Pittsburgh fashion scene history, this is one side of the original hand-painted sandwich board sign advertising "The Vamp". (Arrow pointing right.)

The Vamp was one of the city’s early vintage/antique clothing shops which, in turn, helped to spur other popular local vintage clothing stores. Nearly every day, the sign would have been taken outside and placed on the Walnut Street sidewalk in Pittsburgh's posh Shadyside neighborhood.

Obtained from a longtime western Pennsylvania antiques dealer.
